The Dealmix aggregates all daily deals (travel and local) from the top deal sites and lays them out on a simple map-based interface. Users can zoom into exactly what neighborhoods they’re interested in and check out what deals are live at any given point in time. Powered by a daily deal search engine, you can also search for specific items (ex: “wine”, “sushi”) and relevant deals are instantly displayed on the map. Yelp reviews are also integrated into the product so that all necessary information is together on one screen. With this approach to deals, The Dealmix opens up the space to an entirely new customer base–-people who want deals but don’t want to put the time and effort into finding them. In a time when the deal space is becoming increasingly crowded and facing user fatigue, the Dealmix addresses usability in a dramatically different way for the industry. It essentially opens up the space from what was traditionally an impulse buyer market, to an intent-driven user base.
